49 Länder wollen den Oscar gewinnen
Für die 77. Academy Awards, die legendären Oscar-Verleihung, reichten 49 Länder ihre Filme ein. Die Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences hat diese aufgenommen und wird Ende Januar fünf Filme in die Liste der Nominierungen aufnehmen.

Insgesamt sechs Filme haben bereits den “Besten ausländischen Film”-Oscar und einen Preis in einer anderen Kategorie gewonnen. Diese waren zuletzt «Tiger & Dragon» (2000) und «Das Leben ist schön» (1998).
