69. Primetime Emmy Awards: Die Nominierungen

Die Nominierungen für die 69. Emmy Awards wurden am Donnerstag von der amerikanischen Fernsehakademie veröffentlicht. Moderiert wurde die Veranstaltung vom Fernsehakademie-Chef Hayma Washington, ihm zur Seite standen Anna Chlumsky von der HBO-Sitcom «Veep» und Shemar Moore («SWAT»). Mit insgesamt jeweils 22 Nominierungen gehören die NBC-Comedy «Saturday Night Live» und das HBO-Drama «Westworld» zu den gefragtesten Formaten. Weiterhin an der Spitze der besten Anbieter ist HBO mit 110 Nominierungen, gefolgt von Netflix (91 Stück) und NBC (60 Stück).

Wer wird dieses Jahr das beste Drama? Für die Königsdisziplin wurden 2017 insgesamt sieben Vorschläge ausgewählt, wovon fünf das erste Mal dabei sind: «Better Call Saul», «The Crown», «The Handmaid’s Tale», «House of Cards», «Stranger Things», «This Is Us» und «Westworld». Bei den Sitcoms ist nur «Atlanta» neu, die bisherigen Formate «black-ish», «Master of None», «Modern Family», «Silicon Valley», «Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt» und «Veep» wurden in den vergangenen Jahren schon nominiert.

Milo Ventimiglia ist neben Donald Glover das erste Mal als Schauspieler nominiert, Claire Foy feiert 2017 bei den Emmys ebenfalls Premiere. Anders als John Lithgow, der bereits zum 12. Mal nominiert ist und bereits fünf Mal einen Preis mit nach Hause nahm.

Die Mitglieder der amerikanischen Fernsehakademie können bis zum 14. August 2017 über ihre Favoriten abstimmen. Am Samstag, den 16. September 2017, werden die kreativen Emmys bei FXX verliehen, einen Tag später findet die Hauptverleihung bei CBS statt.
